Caudalie launches Rose de Vigne: with the precious essence of the Rose de Mai

Mathilde Thomas founder of Caudalie has a lifelong passion for Fragrance, starting from her first Fresh Fragrance Fleur de Vigne back in 2002,  Thé des Vignes in 2011, Zest de Vigne also in 2011 and Figue de Vigne in 2014  she is now launching her fifth signature Caudalie scent: Rose de Vigne.

"Below the vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte,
a countless number of roses bloom
creating a marvelous landscape of light, flowers and fruits.
I captured their bright, pure fragrance in the early
morning, blended with the scent of grape
bunches and vine stocks,
at the heart of my new Fresh Fragrance: Rose de Vigne"
Mathilde Thomas

The rose and the grape respectively symbolize the beauty of the world and the bounty of the earth.

The rose which originated in Asia 5000 years ago is the archetype of femininity, it is also called the Queen of flowers. The grape originated in Caucasia in the 6th century and is inextricably linked with life's pleasure. The idea of combining the two in a fifth Caudalie fragrance was an obvious choice for Mathilde Thomas. She asked master perfumer Ralf Schwieger to compose the fragrance: Rose de Vigne.

The fragrance has a head note of hesperided found in all refreshing fragrances ( grapefruit, mandarin, bergamot, lime, lemon) while Rhubarb bursts forth giving an almost sour note.
The majestic Rose de Mai is at the heart of the fragrance and the famous Grasse Rose with its countless petals is used here in its absolute form. To recreate the fragrance of the grape blackcurrant was chosen while Magnolia, musk and amber woods create a base note harmony.
